Hey Everyone,

I wanted to make all of you aware that tomorrow (Friday, January 9th) is the end of the Super Early Bird special pricing. Please see the above schedule for pricing and the deadlines and note that some extension will happen due to the dates being over the holidays. Please contact us as soon as possible if you would like to take advantage of this pricing OR our Buy Now Pay Later program. Tomorrow will be the last day to sign up for the Buy Now Pay Later program. So, please hurry and we look forward to serving you soon.

Anthony~

A few of you have been asking for information on hotels for ATF this year.  We have 2 hotels that we have worked discounts with for those attending ATF in Kansas City this spring.  Feel free to use these if you would like, or find your own.  There is limited space, so be sure to reserve rooms soon, and don’t forget to mention that you are with ATF when you do!  Here they are:

Hilton Garden Inn Kansas City

520 Minnesota Ave

Kansas City, KS

913.342.7900

Distance from Venue: 3.4 miles

Rate: $95.00

Reserve By: 02.15.09

Comfort Inn & Suites

770 Admiral Blvd

Kansas City, MO

816.472.8808

Distance from Venue: 3.2 miles

Rate: $99.00

Reserve By: 02.07.09

Also, I am looking for churches near the venue who would be willing to allow another youth group to stay overnight at their church.  If that is you, let me know!

Don’t forget to purchase your tickets by this Friday, January 2, in order to take advantage of the Super Early Bird prices for Kansas City! (WE WILL EXTEND THE DEADLINE TO THE 9TH IF YOU CALL IN, but if you register online after the 2nd it will NOT give you the SEB deadline. SO CALL US! =D)

As you think about registering, here is some information that may clear up questions you may have about the registration process.  As always, if you have a question and cannot find the answer, feel free to contact me!

First of all, when you register either online or over the phone, you will have the opportunity to choose the level and section that your seats will be in.  We will then assign you to a section, but within that section, seats are first come, first serve (so you may want to arrive a little early so you can choose the part of the section you sit in).  We will NOT be selling tickets per seat.  This way, if you need to add on, we can try to fit you into the same section, as long as there is room, so that your group can sit together.  Also, please keep in mind that on Saturday, the seats that you get in the morning will be your seats for the whole day.  We ask that you do not try to move your group in the middle of the day to eliminate confusion.

To choose your section, please refer to the following map of the venue (which is also on the registration page).  Please keep in mind that some sections may sell out sooner than others.  To find out which sections are still available, feel free to check online when you register or call us.

When you register, there is a $1.99 processing charge that will be added to your order.  If you create more than one order, you will be charged this fee again for every additional order.  Also, when you register, you must pay for the whole amount of your tickets.

Whether you register online or over the phone, you may pay by check or credit card.  At the door we will also be accepting cash.  If you are mailing in a check, you will need to print off our check form (which can be found online when you register or which we can e-mail to you) and mail it in with your check.  This way, we will be able to process your order quickly and efficiently.  Also, please mail in your check as soon as you can after you register.  If you are registering before a deadline, your check must be postmarked by the deadline in order to still receive that price.

Once you have submitted your order, you will receive a confirmation e-mail with your order ID number and receipt.  Please keep this e-mail for your files.  Approximately a week before the event you will receive another e-mail, containing a link to a barcode.  Please print this page off and bring it with you to the event.  When you get there, we will scan the barcode and give you your tickets.  We will NOT be shipping any tickets this year.

Instead of using wristbands as tickets this year, we will be using lanyards.  It is very important that your students do not lose or throw away their lanyards before the end of the weekend since they will need them to enter the event on Friday night and Saturday.  If someone does lose one, there is a $2 replacement fee.

Finally, be sure to enjoy the event!  If there is anything we here at ATF can do to help make the registration process easier for you, please let us know!

I hope that you all are getting ready for a wonderful New Year and spending time with your families will be on the agenda. We pray that God will bless you with a season of intimacy as you prepare for the New Year.

I wanted to post the schedule for this year’s event. This way you have the info well in advance of the actual event. Please let me know if there is anything that I can do to serve you.

As the CHRISTmas break is coming to a close, I hope that you all had a amazing time (because it is the most wonderful time of the year). What did the CHRISTmas break hold for you? Maybe you fought the lines at the mall, went to a CHRISTmas play and/or candle light service, or just enjoyed time with family, but whatever the Holiday held for you, I hope that you were refreshed and rejuvenated. My break was full of fun times and hard work as I connected with family, spent some real good quality time with the Lord, evangelized, and got some good/needed rest. Let me know what you did…I look forward to reading about all the cool things.

As I end this post, let me share how excited that I am with this upcoming event. We have an event that is quite different looking than previous years. In my opinion, we are keeping some of your favorite things like awesome worship, drama, and speakers, but we are adding in some key new features that you need to stay tuned as I update in the weeks to come. Again, I look forward to serving you all, and please feel free to call me at the office or email me. God’s best for you!

Hey Friends,

I wanted to make you aware of the Super Early Bird deadline that is coming up on January 2nd. I know that with New Years and Christmas this deadline might be hard for some people to make so… I am going to extend it! If you will call and let us know that you want to take advantage of the SEB price, I will extend this deadline for the following week until January 9th.

Also, if you want to take advantage of this price but do not have the money together just yet, contact us to find out about the Buy Now, Pay Later option. We would love to serve you in any way possible. God bless you and have a great holiday season.

Anthony~

Left to right: Jessica Adair, Bethany Hodgson, Mikhail Conway, and Bethany Smith.

Hi, my name is Jessica Adair.  I am a 22 year old from good ol’ Glasgow, KY.  I just want all the youth leaders to know how much we appreciate you pouring out your lives for this younger generation.  We are so expectant for God to reveal Himself in mighty ways to the youth at the Kansas City event!  We will be praying for you all as you prepare for the event!

Hello! My name is Bethany Hodgson, I am 20 years old and from Olathe, Kansas. I am so excited for this year’s event in Kansas City, and look forward to seeing God move and work in the lives of your students this year! Not only is this just an event for your students, but will be life changing for many, as these students will be our next leaders of this generation. My prayer for this event and your students would be that they do not just forget what they experience through this event, but that they will be provoked to reach this generation through their own lifestyles and testimonies of what God has done for them. May God continue to bless you and your youth as you continue to pursue the Lord. Thank you so much, and I look forward to seeing you at the event!

Hey, my name is Mikhail Conway and I am nineteen years old.  I was born in Moscow, Russia and now live in Lenexa, Kansas.  I am now a volunteer for Acquire the Fire Kansas City and I am so excited to reach out to this young generation.  God is really going to do big things. We are praying for the youth and youth pastors daily and hope God blesses you.

Hello everyone! My name is Bethany Smith and I am the assistant director for the Kansas City Acquire the Fire. I am 18 years old and am from Sedalia, MO. Go MIZZOU! It is such a blessing to be working with all of you and to have the opportunity to see God move. My life was radically touched and an Acquire the Fire when I was only 11 years old. No one is ever too young! I just want you all to know how much we appreciate you as youth leaders. It’s such a burden you carry to lead the weight of this generation. You are not just youth leaders… You are heroes! I look forward to seeing all of you at the event and finally meeting you in person! The team here continues to pray for you and we are expectant for all the amazing things God is going to do in your youth group. Thank you so much and keep pressing toward the goal!

Hey there my name is Anthony. I wanted to introduce myself and share a little of my heart with you. First let me start with a story.

Last year I was listening to a preacher talk to us about when Jesus would go out alone and weep before God. He challenged us to pray in such an intimate way that God would break down our walls enabling us to cry out to Him. Now, I’m not going to lie, I really respect what this man was doing; but crying on command? Fearlessly, but hesitantly, I started praying and telling God, “I want to weep at your alter! God, break down my walls!” While I was praying, God laid my brother on my heart. (He is 12 years old and is just now entering into the difficulties teens in this generation are facing: insecurity, apathy, lust, and the list goes on). Then all of a sudden it felt like the weight of the world was on my shoulders. And then not only did I cry, but my heart broke for all that was going on in this generation.

Now here I am, a year and a half later, working with a ministry whose whole heartbeat is to rescue a hurting and broken generation. If there is anything that I want you to know about me… it’s that this is personal to me, and that I am vested into this like each and every one of you! I do not want to pretend that I know what you go through as a pastor or a youth pastor because I am not one, but I do know what it is to stand in the gap for family and to feel the burden of those you care about! So hopefully together we can take up this mantel and contend as one body for all those we love in this generation!

Anthony~

Hello friends!

It’s been awhile!  I wanted to connect with you about a couple of things.

First of all, I am no longer going to be overseeing the Kansas City event.  I’ll still be here at Teen Mania with a large vested interest in this event specifically, however, my job has changed a bit and I have taken on some additional responsibilities.  I am excited to announce that Anthony Pitiol is going to be taking over this event and he is definitely going to be able to be able to take the whole thing to the next level.  He has a great passion for reaching out to the students in Kansas City and he has a phenomenal team working for him.  I’m really excited for what God is going to do through this event.

Second, I sent an email out to you everyone last spring about which bands and speakers you would like to see at the event this coming year.  We definitely took your feedback into consideration and we have been working diligently to try to accommodate the needs and preferences of you and your students.  One of the most requested bands I received was for Kutless and they are in the line-up this year.  In addition, due to popular demand, we are bringing Unhindered back in to lead worship.

There were other bands requested that we were unable to get due to scheduling conflicts and the like, but I wanted to throw out some options and see what you would prefer in Kansas City this year.   Please let me know ASAP if you would like to see any of the following (or if you have a specific genre you would prefer) and we will do what we can to get them in the line-up for this event!

–Flame

–Da’Truth

–Lecrae

–Brit Nicole

–Aaron Shust

–RED

–Newsboys

–Canton Jones

–Sanctus Real

–KJ-52

–Pillar

–Superchic[k]

–December Radio

–Rush of Fools

–Leeland

Again, your feedback is important to us! I’m looking forward to hearing from you!
